In some countries the elderly are highly valued and respected, while in others youth is more highly valued. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.
A generation term coined to reflect the difference of opinions and attitudes between younger and older people. A handful masses contemplate that in few nations, senior citizens are given more priority; whereas, others advocate that in other nations adults are given more preference. This essay will examine both the given notions and my personal perspective in the subsequent paragraphs.
On the one
hand, nothing can be best than the presence of elder people for the nourishment of children at home. Moreover, they
encourage them and are good motivators
which will help the upcoming generation
to succeed in their life. They have more experiences and wise knowledge as they
have come across many (hurdles) situations throughout their life. Consequently,
they do not get high respect; they earn
it through their patience and hardships for their new coming generations.
On the other
hand, there are others who opine that youngsters are back-bone of a nation. In
this digital era, complex and smart working require energetic people with a wide
range of knowledge. For instance, armed and labour jobs need more energy and toleration power which is
hardly possible for senior citizens. However, at an early age, their active
mind and courage help them to work harder even in difficult times. Their
excellent adaptability with technology may benefit their nation in further
researches.
To conclude
that, both the generations are more beneficial than harming to their homeland.
In my opinion, the respect of different age groups is different according to
the mindset and expectations towards them by society, so they should be given
equal priority.
